Why I Love Designing Pattern Collections

There is something magical about creating a pattern collection.

Instead of designing a single print, a collection allows a whole story to unfold. One pattern becomes the voice, another the whisper beside it. Florals bloom, textures soften the composition, and small coordinates create harmony.

I love watching how patterns begin to relate to one another. How a hero print filled with flowers can be balanced by delicate dots, gentle stripes, or small scattered blossoms.

Color plays an important role too. Soft greens, dusty roses, muted blues, and warm earthy tones often guide my palettes, inspired by gardens, vintage textiles, and the quiet beauty of nature.

Designing collections allows me to create something layered and versatile. Patterns that can live beautifully across fabric, wallpaper, stationery, and home décor.

It’s a process that feels both creative and thoughtful, and one that I return to again and again with curiosity and joy.
