The Story Behind a Pattern Collection

Every collection begins quietly.

Sometimes it starts with a walk, noticing how wildflowers gather along a path, or the way soft sunlight filters through leaves at the end of summer. Other times it begins with a memory. The feeling of an old fabric, the colors of a garden long remembered, or the gentle beauty of something simple and fleeting.

Before becoming patterns, these moments live first in watercolor sketches and loose ideas. I spend time exploring shapes, layering textures, and building color palettes that feel natural and timeless.

Slowly, the patterns begin to speak to each other.

Hero prints take shape, delicate coordinates appear, and subtle blenders bring balance and rhythm to the collection.

What begins as a quiet observation becomes a small world of patterns, designed to live beyond the sketchbook on fabrics, wallpapers, paper goods, and the objects that surround us every day.

For me, surface pattern design is not only about decoration. It is about creating atmosphere, telling gentle stories, and bringing a little beauty into everyday life.
